For what it’s worth, I’ve found certain self-care options help me a lot. Exercise, mindfulness, a splash of cognitive behavioral therapy, and getting enough vitamin D are the big ones. I’m a bit whiny today because I got all excited about fashion, wore non-sneakers two days in a row, and now am partially crippled for a day or two. \*\*Dark2 \*\*scolded me, “You know this - no foot fashion!” but every once in a while I go into denial about my bad ankles and do this. Oh well, the aforementioned mindfulness helps me remember it’s temporary, and I guess I’ll just deal with wearing cute outfits from the ankles up from now on. ---

Happy Firday. Well as happy as it can be. Finished my am shift and time for N.O.L. and I am hungry. Unless I have to work I can make the fest, I’m not that far away and I can appreciate new counter tops. This weeks pay is really screwed up. I got $495.76 too much. I was warned ahead of time that there was an issue, I’m just glad I don’t need the money yet. They say they will just take the overpayment part but I know from past experience that they will have to take the entire amount back out, the banks aren’t going to let them take part of the payment back. Last time they let us keep it and took it out of the next pay (or pays). Anyway, I don’t want to touch any of it until it gets straightened out. This is why I keep an emergency fund of cash at the house and why I keep two checking accounts in case one of them gets screwed up. I’m glad I’m in a position where I don’t have to live paycheck to paycheck. Been there, done that and hope I never have to be there again. {{{apes}}} ---

And apparently I don’t know how to read a clock anymore either. I got everything ready to leave for my afternoon appointment and errands and I realized that I still had another hour left before I have to go. :smack: again ---

Wait, so **MOOOOOM** is havin’ a Mumper sleepover? 😃 I have taken all kinds of wherefores and how tos and so forths about said worker’s comp accident claim. I have scanned in and emailed all of the above. Hopefully I have done my part and from henceforth TPTB will be the ones to deal with whatever else. At least I have confirmation that all necessary documentation has been received. Go Me. Plus I still fill ick. Less ick, but still ick. ---

Afternoon! Tis Friday - whoohoo! I am feeling a lot better this afternoon but decided to work from home today and was actually kinda busy. **mr ems** should be home soon and we shall veg the night away. Weekend plans are to take Christmas decorations down as I have been to sick to do it since we got back from the UK and that is about it. {{ **apes** }} get with the church as soon as you can. Went shopping on the way to work to pick up some bananas and sesame oil. As I didn’t have a shopping bag with me, they offered to sell me a paper bag for 10 cents. I said no, and just picked my purchase up and carried it out of the store, where I passed a homeless man holding up a cardboard sign saying he needed some money so he could buy food. I handed him my bananas and went on my way. ---
