{{{ **Spaz** and **SpazDad** }}} I’m home from the festivities and I’m so glad I went. I think I had the best volunteer job ever! After my shift was over I went over to the Civic Theatre and caught a bit of a performance by a Beatle’s cover band. Then I walked around the Civic and took a bunch of pictures… Probably the same ones I’ve taken 25 times before, but I just love that place! I wanted to walk up to the artsy place up the hill but I was concerned because the sidewalks were very slippery and I’m going to make it to that 5K tomorrow, one way or the other, dammit! 🙂 Oh, I just remembered what else I wanted to say. Obviously if I ever get married it’s going to have to be on NYE. That’s the only time that you can get married at the Civic for a reasonable price. They had a group wedding tonight on the stairs of the balcony. I’ve heard that it’s something like $5000 to rent the place and that just includes atmosphere, no food, drinks, or otherwise! I think I’ll quit rambling now. ---

Happy New Year! Puppeh woke me around 5. I got up to take her out and feed her because I’m nice, dammit, and because \*\*FCD \*\*still isn’t feeling well and wanted to sleep in. I have no idea how late he stayed up last night - I was in bed before 10 and asleep within minutes. If anyone was shooting off anything around here, I didn’t hear it - I was out! Sometime after my sweetie gets up, we’ll do the shower-and-get-dressed thing, then go get some breakfast and head to the office for a while. After that, who knows? Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 44 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 64 for the day. A nice day for **flytrap** and I to throw fruit flavored Hummel figurines at each other or whatever the heck that is he proposed. If we threw banana peels fruitbats might show up. Will the test be graded on a curve? Will there be a chance for extra credit? Is there an art project involved? Will there be math? **{{{Spaz and Dad}}}** continued good thoughts and prayers headed dad’s way. True to form, we were sound asleep at nine p.m. last night. I pulled an all nighter. Didn’t get up to go pee even once! Ok, I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then food preparation must commence. Well, really, I need to get the black-eyed peas on to cook in a bit bein’ as I shall slow cook ‘em. The rest is relatively easy. I need to bake the beastloaf, make cornbread and cook the rice. Also the collards will need to be heated up. Since dessert is ice cream cake, nuttin’ to do there. Ok, onward and upward! \*\* HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! \*\* ---

Happy New Year y’all. I learned a few things last night. I can and will sleep through fireworks. I don’t like mojitos. I hated wasting the rum but that is one nasty drink. YUK! I have been negligent in teaching my son the value of a dollar. My son does not want his driver’s license, nor does he want to graduate on stage. Last night my mother told him that when he gets his learner’s permit she will write him a check for $1000 towards his first car. He says OK. Then she tells him that when he graduates, if he will walk the stage, she will write him another check for $1000. His response? It’s not worth it, you can keep your money. :::shaking head::: Where did I go wrong? I thought in a real duel people were supposed to fling cats at each other? Although I did read once where a woman threw her python an at intruder. She said he screamed like a little girl and ran away. Personally, I think you should duel with pot and pans. It should be a cook-off, a four course meal using the following ingredients Crab Shrimp Lobster Prime Rib Fart Blossoms Chocolate. I volunteer to be a judge. Not THE judge, A judge. and now… to take the test. Nobody told me there would be a test. ---
