I’m actually a huge Housman fan, though more for his scholarship even than his poetry. My wife and I used his translation of Ode 4.7 of Horace in our wedding ceremony. Housman was absolutely right. It is the most beautiful poem of antiquity. ---

Depends. The traditional female gender roles that conservatives fight for keep them submissive and dependent, so no on that count. On the other hand, there are some badass country girls that could rip your dick off. I don’t think it’s as clear cut. ---

Wow. This has to be the most circle-jerking thread I’ve ever seen on the Dope. I can’t believe it’s even up for debate that conservatives are stronger, braver, handier, more capable, and more dependable than liberals. I thought that this was pretty well understood, along with the fact that liberals need conservatives to survive, but not vice versa. ---
