Oh, I feel a flu or something coming on… 😃 Or I could just WIN the next couple… 😛 And I just remembered! Today is my birthday, I could legally claim I was going out partying and miss this week…nah. I’m pretty much partyed out after last weekend. That and I’m so old now I don’t celebrate anymore…except that I’m still above ground. ---

Well, I’m sorry for wasting your guys’ time tonight. I didn’t realize (what I get for not RTFT) that the real money distinction would be a problem. That is the way a table should end! Yeticus, thinking his flush (Q high?) would hold, aggressively moves all in after a dozen fairly tedius hands whittle down his stack. I, having 6s full of Qs, can’t believe my dumb effin’ luck. Great game all, and great final hand Yeti. Remarkable hand to have to see fall. So, with rankings, it really doesn’t matter that I finished first after the previous run of pretty poor weeks, right? I’m still thoroughly out of the title shot? I can only hope that with his ending tonight, Duke is not invincible. ---

No sweat, man. We hardly ever get started at 10PM EST anyway. Well, have to see how tonite’s score shakes things up. The top contenders both went out blazin’ for some Rat. Yeticus got a solid 2nd to back up last week’s win. Fourth prolly set me back a point, 3rd didn’t help X-ray none. IronChef sauteed our asses and served them with some fava beans and a bowl of whoop-ass. Next week, me buckos! ---

**OMD** …Again, great game last night. I walked into a lion’s den with a BB gun on that hand. The flop seemed harmless to me. I was holding 2 clubs (8c,5c I think) and the flop I think was the (6d,6s,Qc). I had the backdoor flush draw and a straight draw going. So I stuck around for a small bet. I’m pretty sure the turn was 7c, making my hand an open-end straight draw AND keeping my club flush draw intact (what’s that…a 15-out draw?..gotta keep betting.). Another bet was made and called. I hit the flush with another club. Went all in. Thought you were going to fold. Didn’t see what hit me until I did the hand review…you had Q6! Full House! YOU BASTARD! You slowplayed me like a pro! Other notes: Moving to the new table (with higher blinds) created by the players who were already out was a great idea…almost went off without a hitch. It put last night’s game into high gear, because were actually fighting for the blinds more often. If you can manage it **Xray** , maybe you should keep quarter and annual stats so we will have a player of the year and player of the quarter (x4). I know you were also mentioning about a real money tournament…maybe a micro tournament on a private table…I would consider it. May I also suggest that we start a new thread for next quarter? It might draw other Dopers to it, and then discover that we are starting with a clean slate and they might decide to jump in then. Just a suggestion. If **Duke** goes down early in next week’s game, then it looks to be a free-for-all. Sorry **Duke** , I hate to say this, but you must go down early! ---

And meant to say also… By moving to a higher blind table before the heads up…there were 4 players last night…it would be advantageous to have a little more money in your stack at the move. I think I had like $1100 and got the BB right off. I played and probably shouldn’t have and then drew (and shouldn’t have) once I realized how much I was in for. Lost 1/2 my stack quickly. So with this format I’ll need to get it on earlier to have a couple more BB under my belt when we move. ---

Good idea. I’ll take the average of everyone’s final score each quarter and average them out at the end of the year to determine who is Player of the Year. Next time we should wait until only two are left before a move is made and it should either be a firm rule or something that the last two could negotiate on their own. ---
