Rethinking Heinlein's Number of the Beast

Frankly, I didn’t like a single one of the main characters. Didn’t like Lazarus in that book either, even though I enjoyed him quite a bit in Methuselah’s Children and Time Enough For Love.

That book, with all its detailed descriptions of the activities of Deety’s ‘teats’, almost single-handedly ruined Heinlein’s reputation.

Dire Wolf, I’ve read bits and pieces of Starship Troopers in bookstores as well as just about everything SF. I have seen the movie, which I love. The movie is so f****** funny. I doubt I’ll watch it a fourth time though.
