# Retrieving and changing my password?

How do I retrieve my password (luckily I do not have to log in from work, which is where I get on the most)? Once I retrieve it, is it simple to change?

You can’t retreive it; you have to remember it. You can change your password in User CP \> Edit Email & Password, but you have to remember the old one to do that.

Your other option is to log out, then try to log in without a password. You’ll see a link to click if you have forgotten it.

If you’ve lost access to that as well, you’ll need to have an administrator help you. They won’t be able to tell you what your password is, since it’s stored as an unreadable hash, but they can change it to something else.
