I see a lot of folks are going for I Love Lucy for “…American TV show that first aired in black and white and ended in color”, but the show was never broadcast in color during its run. Some episodes were colorized many decades later.

They could be thinking of Lucille Ball’s follow-up shows, The Lucy Show and Here’s Lucy, which were in color.
