It does? Can anyone clue me (and Leaffan) in? Is it something to do with how it’s supposed to be an aphrodisiac?

It all started in this Feud from back in 2008. One of the questions was “Name a variety of seashell”; and the most popular answer by far was “Conch.”

Which prompted brujaja to say:

I knew my conch-less butt wouldn’t do well on this one. You know, I was kinda shocked at “conch”, since you only ever see them in tropical-island-type movies. I wondered whether to say “clam” or “scallop” since food is always popular. But “conch”?

So I asked my roommate, quick, name a seashell! She said “conch”. First time I’ve ever heard that word out loud, instead of in a book. Who knew it loomed so large?

In the Feuds that followed, whenever there was a question where one answer turned out to be the overwhelming favorite, it got referred to as “the conch.” (For example, twickster’s comment: “Oh well, every game needs a ‘conch.’”)

Eventually, Rebo gave us “The Conchless Feud” (Directions explained “The following ten questions produced conchs in earlier feuds. Here they are again, with the conch banned as an answer”).
