# Return of The Prisoner

I should be more excited about this, because it looks like it will be a first-rate production.

On the other hand, the original is remembered for its descent into weirdness if not downright incomprehnsibility. How can they recreate that?

I say it’s an unnecessary remake, even if it’s done well. I loved watching the original (I’m that old). The current show “Lost” reminds me of “The Prisoner” - just the wierdness and mystery of it. Most times I’d rather watch a current show or movie than a remake. Maybe this will be so good it will be one of the exceptions. We’ll see.

Have you seen TV lately? A lot of it is already pretty incomprehensible.

Rumors of a remake have been kicking around for years and my reaction is always the same. It would be a huge mistake to remake it with an unambiguous ending.
