I have no idea whether the facility exists in the board software (and I apologise in advance if it’s already there but I’m too daft to realise it) , but…
I’d find it occasionally rather useful to have the facility to log my interest in a thread (such that an email msg gets sent to me in the same way as it does when someone posts to a thread you’ve posted to) _without_ having to post to it. There are sometimes threads which I’d like to keep an eye on, but perhaps haven’t got to the point where I can usefully add to them…
Just a thought…

If there’s a thread I like to keep an eye on, I’ll bookmark the thread. Then I can jump straight to that thread when I hop on the web.
After the thread seems to run it’s course, I just delete the bookmark.
Of course, this does not tell you when there are new posts, but it’s better than nothing.
