Nothing could be better for liberalism and the Democratic Party than getting a sufficient number of anti-abortion conservatives in the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. Then the battle goes to the states, and the red states will outlaw abortion, and suddenly, very suddenly, a lot of parents of teen daughters in red states are gonna turn blue. Very blue. And this country will move so far to the left so fast that Cuba will have to scramble to keep up.

Here’s hoping Bush does it and Bolton pulls a bafoon like scandel, hopefully involving a goat, weaponry, and KY gel.

> Reversing field after a meeting with President Bush, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said he will continue pushing for a floor vote on John R. Bolton for U.N. ambassador. Frist switched his position after initially saying Tuesday that negotiations with Democrats to get a vote on Bolton had been exhausted.

Is damage maximization the new republican stratagery here?

God, I’d _love_ to have been a fly on the wall during _that_ discussion.

I suspect it was a phone call from Karl Rove or Dick Cheney that did it.

First it was no. Now it’s yes:

Of course the busy man just _forgot_ about the uranium forgery investigation.
Does anyone think this’ll affect Bolton’s recess appointment to the UN?
