Thinking about it more, he was also in one of my favorite all time movie scenes of unexpected reality that made me laugh my ass off. It was an 80’s move I can’t remember the name of, total shit, that had two fat WWF brothers(maybe twins) doing some generically heroic plot . The scene had one of the brothers and Kiel fighting in a garage,and both roll around, find a heavy steel rod, and swing it at the other hitting them together. Then immediately drop it dancing around in hand pain, rather than some cliched fencing match. Having done that myself, and knowing that amazing , surprising pain from holding an steel rod energetically vibrating from impact was just funny as hell, and unepected. 🙂 ETA: Looking it up, it was _Think Big_ ---

Sorry to hear this. I saw him at the California state fair perhaps six years ago, doing autographs, and he seemed to be in terrible shape - hunched, bent, moving slowly and with help. I guess age, arthritis and his gigantism had caught up with him. I wanted to say hi and shake hands but something, probably a kid crisis, kept it from happening. He had a pretty good run as an actor, all things considered. “Well… here’s to him.” ---

He was interviewed by [WVLI](http://rivervalleyradio.net/) last week, promoting a 50th Anniversary showing of _Goldfinger_, at which he was supposed to appear. He sounded terrible but talked enthusiatically about his various movie roles, particluarly “Jaws”. A few days after that it was announced that he had an accident in his home and broken a leg. Lana “Plenty O’Toole” Wood was quickly brought in as his replacement for the event.
