I have no idea what forum to put this kind of breaking news in, but it seems pretty damn big. [Here’s](http://www.salon.com/news/wire/2003/03/27/perle_resigns/index.htm) the story, though there’s no speculation as to reason. I guess that’s what we’re here for. ---

The man was a walking conflict of interest, with his hands in various companies that do business with both the Department of Defense and Homeland Security, while being one of the strongest proponents of the so-called “Bush Doctrine”. Salon has had a bunch of articles about him lately. He’s getting out before the heat gets hot, basically. ---

Perle is in trouble for a few things that revolve around conflict of interests. [Seymour Hersh](http://newyorker.com/printable/?fact/030317fa_fact) is given the credit for exposing “The Prince of Darkness” as he is known to some. Some stem from happening to have lunch with “ **Adnan Khashoggi** and a Saudi industrialist.
