Tina Turner and Shania Twain have been out of the limelight for quite a while, as have many other less known people.
Note that Simmons can’t really sue the Enquirer for libel. If he did, the Enquirer would get an exclusive “interview” during the deposition process. The lawyers could ask him a lot of personal questions.
This is how these rags generally get away with stuff. “We’re wrong? Well, let’s have our lawyers ask you a bunch of questions under oath.”
So, the National Enquirer is probably wrong. Which is sad to me. I think the transition explanation is a whole lot better than Simmons just turning into sad, lonely recluse.
I have no opinion on that matter one way or the other, and hope Mr. Simmons is okay and happy, but Caitlyn Jenner’s reps also released a buttload of denials that she was transitioning too before she actually came out to the public. So, I don’t think that necessarily conclusive.
