‘Solid enough’ is a fair description of this entire season. They proved their ability to rebound from what might have been a crippling loss of a—let’s face it, _the_—major voice actor and did it with aplomb. When R&M is best written, it’s not just good comedy but also good science fiction, and there was enough of both in this season to make it a win in my book. Good job all around. +1 for Liev Schreiber’s voice acting as the Scary Hole Guy. ---

I guess we now know how our Morty is fundamentally different than Evil Morty. Our Morty’s deepest fear is losing Rick, Evil’s was never being rid of Rick. ---

One negative thing I’ll say - if I ever see Mr. Poopybutthole again, it’ll be too soon. The joke is played out and it’s reaching Mr. Herbert levels of beating a dead horse at this point. ---

The first episode of the Rick and Morty anime is out. I didn’t think it was very good as a play on _Rick and Morty_ and I definitely think it would seem terrible as a stand-alone to someone unfamiliar with the original. ---

I turned it on because I am still am a big Rick and Morty fan. I am not, however, an anime fan. At all. I didn’t make it past the opening credits. The big-eyed, pony-tailed anime super excited daughter turned me right the fuck off. This is a me problem, though. I will read more reviews to see if it gets beyond all the things I hate about anime. ---
