Inside: cell phone 4 pens (I tend to walk off with bank pens) pencil travel Kleenex granola bar (?) wallet cosmetics travel bag–inside that is one lipstick, one small mirror, 2 Tampax and a panty liner, plus some Natural Tears and a tube of hand lotion. car lock de-icer traveling tube of acetaminophen date book–oops, need new one! old Hershey Kiss wrapper bits lint key ring ponytail holder What’s in your purse? Colored pens for school tomorrow that I just bought. My wallet. Nail file. Two nail polishes (those and the file are because I just took off my acrylics last night and forgot to take the stuff out of my purse). False eyelashes. $20 randomly floating. a pair of hoop earrings. and six lip glosses (I need to empty my purse). ---

Mine is a black purse which holds: old bills wallet pen digital camera my dog’s rabies tag a smaller case holding perfume, lip gloss, chapstick, and oddly enough a baby pic of me stamps checkbook lotion a few christmas cards I got from work spare change strewn across the bottom There’s actually more odds ‘n’ ends, but I thought I’d spare you. ---

I have a big (10x12) one-compartment patchwork bag that I love, because it allows me to carry the world and then some in it. It currently contains: Cell phone One pocket-size pack of tissues (Kleenex brand - classy, eh?) Sunglasses (bent a bit - not so classy) Wallet with too much junk and not enough moolah Swiss Army Knife Keyring (keys to home, 2 key fobs [a light-up turtle and a metal bust of Billy Shakespeare) Pack of Orbit Cinnamon gum (1 piece remaining) 1-day bus pass from Dec. 20 The foam pad from a pair of earbuds Little fabric bag with two tampons inside 1 tube of Carmex Moisturizing eyedrops 1 travel-sized pack of Dramamine (2 tablets) 2 pens, 1 pencil Pocket-sized Moleskine notebook $2.46 in various coins Admission button thing from the Philadelphia Art Museum A paperback of 4 plays by Euripides. No wonder it seems heavy… ---

If it doesn’t fit in my purse, or I cannot zip my purse with it in there, I don’t carry it. Mine’s a denim purse I got at Old Navy iirc that carries… well, quite a bit. It has lots of random pockets in it also, so I constantly surprise myself with what I have in it. I currently have in the main compartment: My wallet with the usual assortment of cash, bank cards, bus pass, grocery cards and health care cards. A copy of The Virgin’s Lover by Philippa Gregory cell phone mp3 player change purse moleskine 2 pens the start of a new sock (and it’s finished mate, in it’s own bag) house keys mirror compact toffee’s bubblegum (two kinds, and it’s odd since I hardly chew any gum) Assorted pockets: ticket stub from Sweeney Todd burt’s bees lip balm asthma meds inhaler 3 different kinds of hand lotion, small bottles 2 Coffee gift cards Coupon for 5 bucks off a purchase of books My bracelet, which fell off this morning so I need to fix tonight. ---

I ain’t got no stinkin’ purse. In my backpack: Computer cords, emergency tampon. In my shoulder bag: Crumpled receipts, microlight. Both will contain much more when I go to campus later this week: Moleskine workbook, datebook, office keys, phone, thumb drive, lunch, papers. In my pockets: Keys, small metal frog. In my wallet: Debit card, two credit cards, driver’s license, health insurance card, receipt for a purchase I don’t recognize, AAA card, university ID, Border’s card, empty Starbucks card, $6 in singles, restaurant receipt from last professional travel. My wallet doesn’t have windows so it’s a bad place for photos. Yes, I’m working at home today. ETA: Wallet: Eddie Bauer post-holiday sale, 2002? Backpack: Half-price computer bag, REI. Shoulder bag: Obscure rip-off bought for under $12 in LAX. When I must have a smaller bag, I use an REI shoulder bag that fits a paperback or a bottle of water. I also have a small brown bag I bought in Italy for ~$30 near the Uffizi. ---

I downgraded over winter vacation to a small purse. I have: cash, ID, chapstick, keys, cellphone and a pen. I’m just putting around the backwoods I live in until school starts again. Starting next week I’ll be lugging around my Indiana Jones purse: 3 pens, a No.2 Ticonderoga pencil, hand cream, lip gloss, chapstick, a packet of powdered rice papers (eek, running low!), a few elastic headbands, pepper spray, hair brush, memo book, wallet, keys, notebook, folder for syllabi and bluebooks (I always carry a few extra of the last item), likely a book or two, my cellphone, a laptop, a Kashi bar, a packet of Kleenex, my sunglasses in the case, a deck of cards, and an emergency OB tampon (I’m a DivaCup user, but it’s nice to have backup or provide backup for someone else). ---

WTH do you use moleskin for? I use it in newer shoes that slide off my heel, but I don’t carry it around. I forgot to add, last year’s Xmas card that has a pic of the 3 kids on it. That’s it. ---

I think that’s what they meant, not moleskin so your shoes don’t bug you. ---

They come in handy, I jot down ideas or notes of things I need to pick up (several pages are just devoted to lists.. like my [NOW](http://www.noopportunitywasted.com/now_book/) lists, and are great to keep pictures of my son that don’t really fit in my wallet.) 🙂 ---

Lots of change (I try to empty it out, lord knows, I try, but it adds up on me!). Keys for work and keys for home. Hair clip thingy. Pen. Random papers/receipts (not TOO many). Wallet. Cell phone.
