I know that explaining a joke takes away some of its charm, but I see this one everywhere. Every time someone uses it, someone thinks it’s funny enough to reply with a “lol!” post… so tell me. what’s so funny? ---

It may not have occurred to everyone posting there, but I had the distinct impression that everybody wanted in on the next instance of an SDMB in-joke. It was palpable to me. The tendency these days for threads to get locked before any serious mischief can materialize, makes the likelihood of another bandwagon any time soon, pretty low. But be on your guard: maybe you can be in on the next one, or it might just happen in a thread you start. Just try not to be too obvious in your efforts to “push it.” These things are funniest when they “just happen.” ---
