One last time **Vote Autolycus** He didn’t play Mafia here for long - maybe five games in 2006/07? Every game he built a persona to post in - an Italian mobster, a sailor, what have you - and leavened the game with some humour. His first game was hilarious because he thought he had to live to the end to win. (It’s a team game, mostly.) He helped get us started, and though he moved on fairly quickly, I for one always missed his tone. Farewell. ---

Yeah. On the one hand, given his distance, if he had decided to take off out of town for a couple of days, it would be a “perfect” time for someone to play such a hoax. On the other had, though, since a number of his family members have posted on his timeline, I’m guessing that they probably have better knowledge that it’s for real. ---

It’s definitely not a hoax-- his workplace posted on FB when it first happened asking everyone to keep from posting it to social media until his family could be notified. ---

WTF, man?? I was away for a few days, out of town, and I come back to this? I am also hoping it’s a hoax. **Auto** was a sweet, non-jaded, sensitive, kind young man. If this is really true, I will miss seeing him around here. ☹ ---

**A bit of information about Auto’s passing** The word I got was that he passed away from a health problem. He posted on his FB page in the middle of the day, a few hours before I got a mail about it. Was Monday a public holiday in Japan? If not, he was probably at work, unless he took the day off. Although I was told the cause of death, I have no details about it. I do know that he was at least outwardly doing well before that–he wasn’t bedridden or anything. That’s about all I’ve got. I worked on the same program as he did until a few months ago, but he lived about 45 minutes from me and I didn’t see him much. ☹ ---
