I never thought much of him one way or another, until I learned he had been schtupping Dian Parkinson - prime among the objects of my childhood lust. ---

As others are saying, he was one of the “good guys”. It’s sad that he’s gone. (With a screen name like “wolf\_meister” didn’t you know I’d be a Bob Barker fan?) ---

My opinion on the matter was, like idealized pets, staid and neutral. ---

Too bad. I still watch TPIR whenever I can, and I was in the audience for a 1997 episode with Barker and Rod Roddy as the announcer. I’ve been watching ever since the early 1980s. ---

> [@Coriolanus](#): > > He was a great animal rights activist. He had a terrific against-character scene in _Happy Gilmore_ yet to me his Price is Right show was the only good thing on TV in late mornings when I was truly home and ill from school. Him and the silly games and of course the models showing off “A new Car” and sailboats. When my wife told me of Barker’s demise I replied without hesitate, “The price is wrong, bitch!” Having never seen _Happy Gilmore,_ she was a bit confused. I haven’t seen that movie in 25 years, but just remembering Barker kicking Sandler’s ass just cracks me up.
