## I always hoped poor Richard was secretly giving ol’ Liz the rotten, rawwdawgg rogering of her life in the upstairs bathroom every time Hyacinth held one of her Candlelight Suppers. (With the Royal Doulton, of course) RIP Clive. ---

I was never a big fan of “Keeping Up Appearances”\*, but I liked him on it. Very talented and funny. - I always thought that Oslo, Daisy, and Rose should have been spun off into their own series. ---

He also played Dr. Black, a sort of narrator stand-in in a couple of the MR James-based BBC Ghost Stories for Christmas. “Clive Swift as Dr. Black” was how I identified the character, and was sorry he didn’t show up in more of them. ---
