The oldest man to run marathons, and holder of many a record, has sadly died in a traffic accident - at the age of 114

Traffic accident = he was run over by a car. I hate the passive way they always phrase that.

It appears that he was the 9th oldest living person at the time of his death and the oldest living man.at that time.

His age was a matter of some controversy, as he has no documentation.

It’s probably more likely that he lied about his age or that the whole news story is made up than that he’s really that old.
