Just reading this thread has re-awakened the memory of when I saw goatse.
It is a dark and stormy afternoon in the uni computer rooms, a young fresher sits, working on his essay to be handed in in 20 minutes. Suddenly, the feverish tapping of keys is disturbed by a cry of “Holy Crap look at that!!” from a group of second year students gathered round the computer behind the young **hybrid\_dogfish**. Intrigued, he turns to glance at the picture on their monitor, and _sees_. The image sears into the retina of the young student, burning itself into his mind, polluting his brain. Shocked and disturbed, the young man turns back to his essay, but for him, the internet will never again be quite the same, for he has seen into that darkest realm into which no man should peer. He opens his e-mail program, selects the address of his friend who he can see across the other side of the room, and types: “Hey, look at this f\*\*ked up thing.” before typing in a link, and hitting send. The horror continues.

Strange that, after all these years of wandering in this chasmal internet, I’ve yet to see that site. Thanks for the heads up **bittersweet**. I’m pulling out the site as I type this. I guess that’s the prodigious thing about the vast net. You never know what treasures you’ll find if your willing to dig deep enough.
P.S. Speaking of the goatse gallery, what’s another word for “2 giant dildos at the same time”? See, I got this crossword puzzle I’m working on and… 🙂

I finally came to accept goatse and now he’s gone. I went through all these stages of grief over him and finally came to accept him. First I had shock and I thought it was photoshopped. Then I had the fear that it was really bad for him and he died right after the picture was taken. Then I had bargaining where I promised God that I would never put anything in my bum ever again. But then I had acceptance of the truth and I could look at the whole series and say, “cool.”
Now I have to grieve all over again again ☹
