For Halloween last year one of the depts. picked Grumpy cat as their decor theme. We’re talkin’ wall to wall GC, with a pinata, and a GC cake and a “litter box” where you could feel around for little prizes. I think that may have been the happiest hour I’ve spent at this place.

She didn’t die!
Mom said that they took her out to the farm, the one we see far away from the highway. The one with the big barn full of hay, and the horses. The barn swallows in the Spring.
She is still getting used to the hens and the turkeys. And that damn Australian dog they have. But it is all going to be just fine there.

I was depressed this news was in 3 of my daily news feeds (one was NPR!). Along with Hershey doing “emoji bars”. What has news come to?
No ill will toward the cat, I love cats. But national news coverage?

I bought Grumpy’s wall calendar and page-a-day desk calendar every year. I hope they still keep making them. The page-a-day gave me a little chuckle every morning.
