Holy crap! I thought he had passed away long ago! 102, wow! :eek: I remember watching him on Steve Allen’s syndicated show when I was 15 or 16. I was literally rolling on the floor laughing while he attacked the cameras in the studio! The other thing I remember him for is the night he was on Johnny Carson and Zsa Zsa Gabor was the next guest. He was sitting on the couch smoking a cigarette as she showed off her spectacular new diamond ring: **COREY:** (_Sotto voce_) Probably got it on the lay-away plan. **[AUDIENCE LAUGHS UPROARIOUSLY]** **ZSA ZSA:** (_Hungarian accent_) I think you just made a vulgar joke. 😕 You were hilarious, Doc. Wow, I would have thought he was even older! I remember him for one of the more slapsticky parts of _Car Wash_ as a guy suspected of being a mad bomber. Was he the preacher in _Blazing Saddles_? ---

I’d never heard of him before, but I watched the two clips in the OP, and all I could think was … are we sure he isn’t Bill Murray’s father? The resemblance is striking. ---

His strong leftist leanings hurt him for a while but he made a remarkable comeback. Socialist to the end. His [bio](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irwin_Corey) is quite remarkable. Larry Storch (_F Troop_) announced his death. Yes, he’s still alive. One of the more interseting “private” things about _him_ is the tale of his mixed-race stepdaughter and documentarian [June Cross](http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/secret/etc/synopsis.html). If you know about Storch’s background you can understand how they were such good friends. ---
