JJ Jackson, one of the original MTV VJ’s died yesterday at the age of 62. [CNN story](http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Music/03/18/obit.vj.jackson.ap/index.html) is here. I must say, wow. I had no idea that he was that old when he was telling us what was young and hip.

Always sad to see anyone go, but I must say he was by far the worst of the original MTV VeeJays, and overall a lousy DJ. In both mediums he would try to impress people with his supposed knowledge of rock history and get it wrong majorly (these were on-air flubs, so I can’t cite, sorry). Just very lazy in his facts.
