[Nicholas Smith, the actor best known as Mr. Rumbold on “Are You Being Served” passed away.](http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-35023713) Surprisingly enough, he was the last living original member of the original cast. Who’d have guessed he was only 38 when the show started?

I just commented to someone at work how he was the last surviving cast member, when discussing my Celebrity Death List for 2016.

I knew he was one of the younger cast members, but never realized he was only six months older than Trevor Banister (Mr. Lucas).

He was so much younger than I thought. I loved watching that show. Now I need to see if it’s on anywhere.

Almost all episodes are on YouTube. A lot PBS stations play episodes pretty regularly.
