Not mentioned in the doco was that he also had some success in Australia in the 1980s, and toured with Midnight Oil Down Under. RIP. ---

Oh no! This is my favorite discovering-new-music memory of all time: Summer of, I think, 2013 or thereabouts. Backpacker’s hostel in Copenhagen, me still very jet-lagged, but they’re offering free breakfast so I drag myself out of bed. There’s some [music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5jmw5m8cgs) playing in the background. And suddenly I find myself thinking _holy holy shit who is this?_ And memorize _winter’s asleep at my window_ so I can Google it when I get home four weeks later. R.I.P.
