I wish he (and Siskel) could’ve seen the MCU. I wish Siskel could’ve seen LOTR.
I wonder what Ebert would have said about how superhero movies like the MCU have seemingly taken over Hollywood.
When I was young, I didn’t appreciate him enough on At The Movies; it was reading his reviews and his dictionary of tropes (before tropes were a thing) on Microsoft Cinemania 95 that enlightened me to his vast wealth of knowledge and passion for cinema.
Also, I would’ve liked to have heard Siskel and Ebert discuss the La La Land/Moonlight Best Picture Oscar goof.
I wish he could have seen the Snyderverse. His reviews would have been savage and hilarious.
