With the passing of Tanya Roberts, I sadly considered her for a bit. I realized that I, as a young boy was very…ahem…appreciative of her…ahem…acting…yeah that’s it. I remember, ahem, admiring her work fondly as a boy.

She wasn’t the first I admired. I remember the first time I realized girls started to get interesting and the first actress was Penny from Lost in Space.

Back to Roberts. I was feeling sad about people my generation or close starting to die and so I went and bought the movie BeastMaster which was the first movie that brought Tanya Roberts to my attention.

I then remembered/saw that the bad guy was Rip Torn! How could I forget Rip Torn! He was great! He was the Bruce Campbell of the 70s!

I am going to have to go on a Rip Torn remembrance tour. I loved him. Hopefully others remember and love him as well.

Here’s the [RIP Torn thread](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/rip-torn/836820/26) that marked his passing in 2019. But it certainly didn’t cover all there was to say.
