IIRC, he was married to the late Geraldine Page. Naturally, the buzzer for their apartment said TORN PAGE. ---

It just occured to me that its a damn good thing Rip Torn is not a theorectical astrophysicist. Think what he might do to the fabric of space time. ---

What a real shame. \*The Larry Sanders Show \*was one of my favourite shows of all time and Rip Torn’s turn as Artie was a big part of why it was so great. A magnetic and charismatic actor and I’m very sorry to see that things are going so poorly for him. ---
