[Vince Flynn](http://news.yahoo.com/best-selling-author-vince-flynn-dies-age-47-143126573.htmlhttp://) author of the Mitch Rapp novels has lost his battle with prostrate cancer.

I only started reading his books 3 years ago, however he quickly became one of my favorite authors. I found the books tightly plotted and an enjoyable escape. Rapp, while doing the normal superhuman spy stuff, had flaws and demons that he fought. May Mr. Flynn rest in peace.

I really enjoyed the Rapp books. His death will be overshadowed by James Gandolfini’s, but he was a very talented author.

Sad, he used to be a thriller writer whose work I enjoyed. [Used to…](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=335729&highlight=vince)
