I just finished the third and final Rising Stars TPB. Pretty good, but I felt like the ending was somewhat rushed (despite the fact that the issues of the last arc were anything BUT rushed!)

I felt that he could have spent several issues chronicling the stories of the Specials who were making the world a better place. Instead, he focused on Poet and Randy, while glossing over the rest of the Specials.

I liked how the first arc had single issues dedicated to a different Special or subplot. The series went _slightly_ downhill after the first TPB, but overall it was pretty good.

I also felt the “spaceship” ending was a little flat, but there was certainly a sense or dread and wonder throughout the whole series.

I give it a positive review, but the “Watchmen of the 21st Century” it was not.

Your thoughts?
