Sure, we could argue that, as you did in your strawman, that even a lynching isn’t 100%, but only 99.99999%. I have no problem with going ahead and declaring the 99.99999% to be close enough to 100%. But the “animals” incident isn’t 99.99999%. It’s much lower. Calling someone an animal and throwing peanuts at them is not hanging them from a tree in Alabama. ---

Was watching Beloved the other night and there was a pretty poignant scene where the only word a slaver uses after observing the aftermath of Oprah killing her kids is “animal”. Just reminded me of this thread. ---
