The “videotaped” part is the only thing that worries me and yet it’s not mentioned until the last sentence of the article. :dubious: Otherwise, it just sounds like a (probably) young coach who thinks that the sorts of party games she participated in as a teen are the best way to bond with her students. Stupid but - since they’re all women anyways - more an issue of maturity than creepiness. But videotaping is…yeah. She’s either a lesbian or both her and her boyfriend are idiots. ---

This just sounds like it should be a bad joke gone horribly awry. “Miss, do I **have** to run laps?” “Of course not, you could strip instead :rolleyes:” “Okay!” “Wait… what!?” I know that it’s NOT a joke gone horribly awry, it just seems like it **should** be. ---

My bolding. It sounds like this is an initiation for new cheerleaders since the girl who had to strip were in 9th grade and the jury were the older girls. They do it every year. I don’t see how these details make any difference, as the coach was present and not just aware of but actively involved in the incident. For an adult authority figure to be participating in a “game” where adolescent girls are pressured to strip down to their underwear (while being videotaped!) is extremely inappropriate and quite possibly criminal. If this was something the girls came up with on their own then the coach should have put a stop to it as soon as she realized what was going on, not joined in. ---

If this was just a bunch of high school girls playing around at a slumber party, it would be no big deal. The big deal is that one of their teachers was encouraging the game. ---
