That was some razor sharp satire, and clearly so close to the edge that most of the YouTube proletariat miss the point. Total win. Loved the indoor sunglasses too. ETA: I want a God-nipple on my forehead too. ---

Hindus are familiar with the concept of evangelism (to Indians and non-Indians alike) but there are very few sects which actually practice it- perhaps because, as I noted above, everyone who believes in god(s) is already a Hindu, in a sense. ---

As someone who grew up christian (no longer, though), surrounded by other young christians, I have no problem believing that’s real. We’re told from a very young age that we should try to convert anybody we can. If my sheltered existence had allowed me to be near someone of another faith at that age, after I stopped hyperventilating I’d probably start laying on the jesus schtick. ---

Conversely, someone of your age/gender and with an awareness of the necessary stereotypes wouldn’t recognise it if it whanged you round the head with a piece of 2x4. Yes it’s not _great_ satire if you hold it up to Chris Morris, but compared to most YouTube content, it was. The fact that people can’t even recognise it as such, despite some not altogether subtle clues, just proves that fact. ---

Well, I for one think they are geniuses. I also thought the video was hilarious. “One regular one, and one Indian one.” “…But we are part of Asia.” “Okay, whatever.” They are true comedians. I also love their “Showing off some of the best jokes ever” video. That was great. “I got a couple of [comments from] Christians who were like, ‘Oh, you make us Christians look bad,’ so I thought that was good 'cause that means like if I was a good Christian, like that made other Christians look bad.” “Yeah, like they can’t kind of compare.” ---

Race is a social construct, but according to those socially established sets of criteria, Indians are Caucasian. ---
