Wow. That gym is all of about a mile from my house. They just finished building it. I’m pretty sure I know a few of the people mentioned in that story. Now I’m looking at the picture and wondering if I’ve ever seen him drinking at Muzzy’s. I’d say it’s highly likely that I’ve seen that guy more than once. That’s a creepy feeling. ---

A kid sneaks a knife into a high school, and the next month there are detectors up. I’m like, come on! There is hell going down in those schools. Every day. Every day things are happening in those kids lives that are killing them, albeit indirectly, and they are going to set up a huge aparatus to make the lot of them feel like they are being treated as criminals, all because one very sick child committed a horrible, horrible act that is highly unlikely to happen again even if you handed each child a loaded hand gun. ---

I think there’s more to the story than we’re seeing. The pictures of him don’t make him look that bad for a guy in his 40s. Furthermore he’s pulling down good money at his job, including a recent promotion, which means he has a certain minimal level of social skills. Seriously, whenever someone talks about how fucked up men supposedly are because of “testosterone poisoning” I tell them about all of the women who write to serial killers in prison wanting to marry them or fuck them. Richard Speck, Ted Bundy, you name it - the sickest, most vicious serial killers on the planet, and all of them get hundreds of letters from admiring women. What’s that all about? And what about women who keep coming back to husbands and boyfriends who beat them up? How sick and self-destructive is that? Jesus H. Christ, what is it with women and their craziness? ---

My ex-fiancee was a manager at the Eat n’ Park that looks to be right next door. I haven’t lived in the Pittsburgh area since 1993, though I visit frequently. ---
