Some kid brought an old iPhone to school, that he took apart and put in a new plastic container. He had “invented” an iPhone, and wanted to show his teacher. The teacher noticed it might look like a gun, and told him to not show it to anyone else. After the kid made sure other people saw it, and he got arrested by idiots, **who knew it wasn’t a gun,** his defenders mentioned it was just an iPhone, and it was stupid to make a big deal about it. They knew it wasn’t a gun, just a phone. The story had a happy ending. Gun nuts gave the kid a whole bunch of cool stuff, and got to be on TV and go to the White House. ---

Perhaps I should have used a carriage return, but in any case I would have capitalized \*any \*word after that colon, even a lowly article like “The”. ---

I’m not offended by capitalizing it, and even less so at the beginning of a sentence, but it is not \*accurate \*to capitalize it. I support **doorhinge** entirely on this–and only this–point. His insistence on having his name spelled correctly is no more stupid than, say, including a capital “I” in one’s name. ---

I agree with **andros** and **doorhinge** regarding username capitalization. And I say this for two reasons: 1. **andros** is correct on the general exemption, and 2. I can’t resist the sheer novelty of using the phrase “I agree with **andros** and **doorhinge**.” I may never get this chance again. ---
