Okay. I take my politics seriously. I understand other people do, too. But, how does one get so mad as to do [this](http://www.sptimes.com/2005/03/10/Hillsborough/Bumper_sticker_evokes.shtml)? How do you even justify it in your mind at the time? He had the sign made up ahead of time, apparantly so he had to have some kind of plan to use it. It just… ☹ ---

Frankly, keying cars with Kerry/Edwards stickers is just as out-of-line, even if not as dangerous. I do not want this to devolve into a them/us argument. It’s more important than that. Of course not, such behavior is ridiculous. I felt bad for the repubs (the joe & jane blow ones visiting from Iowa) when they had the convention here months back. The amount of shit these poor people were getting was embarrasing. They looked like they had the fear of death in them, probably because they did. ---

Why do people have to go and do this sort of shit? This guy’s obviously a fucking moron. I mean, i live in a solidly Democratic city, and if i tried to abuse everyone i see with a Bush/Cheney sticker, i’d never have time to do anything else. And i really don’t know what he thought he was going to accomplish. I mean, he had a couple of options. He could try to reason with the woman and explain why her support for Bush was misguided, but we all already know that Bush voters don’t respond to reason. Or he could try to beat her around the head with the sign, but her skull was probably too thick for any damage to occur anyway. Actually, you might be right. Although i think the playing field might be somewhat uneven. Conservatives don’t need to go out an intimidate liberals and leftists, because under the Bush administration they’ve got the FBI, the Secret Service, and the cops doing it for them. ---

Personally I have no idea why people feel compelled to paste pieces of paper on their bumber stickers in the first place. I know intellectually that they do so to express their “individuality,” but it still boggles my mind on an emotional level. ---

Well since we only have the woman’s side of the story here I’ll hold off judgement. The sign could have been made while driving and the whole thing could have started by something this woman did. Any Republicans want to reimburse for the expenses I had after my care with the Clinton Gore sticker got keyed up? ---

I’ve never thought of bumper stickers as expressing individuality. My sense of humor, perhaps. My hobbies, occiasionally. But never my individuality. What I don’t get is why anyone would keep on a political bumper sticker past the election. I can see, if you’re really excited for a particular candidate having the bumper sticker (Not that any presidential candidate has ever excited me that much.) but once the election is over, off it comes. Of course, that’s another topic altogether. ---
