Falc, drop me an e-mail and let me know where you are gonna stay. I would have come to Vegas is someone would have paid for my flight…and if I hadn’t comitted to working the holiday. I saw the pics, it looks like it was a lot of fun! I am hoping that this spur of the moment trip turns out better than the last time I took off for parts unknown. ---

Item one; an apology. I now see that I left CanadianSue off my list of attendees. I’m sorry, Sue, what can I say? I’m a typical American and always forget about Canadians. Item two; sigh, okay, Surgo, drop me an email and we’ll talk about financing a motel room. I’ll think of it as doing my part to help alleviate the homeless situation in Rochester. Item three; a field report from Scout Nemo. Knowing the value of prior recon, I went to Rochester yesterday and ate at the Dinosaur. Here’s my findings. The crowd: I was there at six on a Monday. I was told I could wait twenty minutes for an inside table or eat outside (which is what I did). I don’t know but I wouldn’t assume it will be any less crowded on a Saturday. The parking: The Dinosaur parking lot has room for about four cars. There’s street parking on the bridge (no meter charges after six either) but open spots are hard to find. There is a parking lot just across the bridge but it closes after five. The location: The Hyatt is two blocks away. So if we all get drunk, we can crash at Doc’s room. The dress code: Casual. I wore jeans and was better dressed than some there. My waitress was wearing jeans, a tube top, sunglasses, and a belly ring, so you can see there not going for the continental look. The menu; A lot of combos and appetizers trays, which I figure we’ll go through a few of. Barbequed pork, beef, or chicken sandwichs with various toppings. Assorted beers (sorry, I forgot to check if they serve mixed drinks). Yesterday, the soup of the day was smoked chicken and rice and the vegetable was cajun corn, both of which were very good. Prices are very reasonable. The entertainment; no idea. It appears they only have bands on weekends and I’ve never been there then. And now I’ll open the floor to questions. ---

Of course, the day you guys decide on I’ll be in Niagara-On-The-Lake attending a play. BUT, its in the afternoon and so far I have no plans on staying over night there, the beau and I could make it back to the Dinosaur in time for drinks (YES, they do have mixed drinks. In fact, they make a killer margarita! They have a full bar.) Note about the Dino: Saturdays are VERY BUSY! There is usually a blues band playing and the place gets packed, standing room only. There is a separate area (almost) where the tables are for dining, and then the bar area where the band plays (ladies, plan ahead when having to pee as you have to walk IN FRONT of the stage to get to the bathrooms, be prepared to push and shove!) I probably wouldn’t be able to meet for dinner, but most likely drinks afterwards. OH, and there is a parking garage across the street (kitty corner) that stays open all night and I believe its free on the weekends. (Its across the street from the library) Try the Fried Green Tomatoes, and might I suggest the Pig Ass Pork Plate! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… How will I know who you guys are in that throng of humanity? My wife, the infamous Melin, asked me to post the following, which mirrors what she has just posted over at 3FMB [here](http://fff.fathom.org/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000489-2.html). Some people post here who don’t post there, and the other way around, too. The following people are “confirmed”: **Melin Michi Falcon** (but having some problems that might prevent her coming) **Little Nemo Jens Booker57 Surgoshan** (claims he has the flu) **Dr. Watson Voorvie and beau** (after dinner only) And the following expressed some interest, but haven’t yet confirmed: **Friedo Candyman Dewaholic DuhMan** Jens has gotten a 5:00 reservation at the Dinosaur. Melin has posted at 3FMB asking him what name that reservation is in, and suggesting that the Rochester group do what the LA group always does: make the reservation for the “Cecil Adams” party. When he responds, somebody will post here to let y’all know. Those of you who are traveling in from areas which only have one season, might want to keep an eye on the following: [http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/Rochester\_NY\_US\_f.html](http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/Rochester_NY_US_f.html) While we are currently enjoying a long spell of temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s, it appears that this is coming to an end. Sometime within the next few days a cold front is due to hit Rochester and temperatures will drop into the 30’s. So plan accordingly. ---
