It’s interesting to note that no one from 1980 is on the ballot. I could be wrong, but I think this is the first time a newly eligible class has been snubbed. No that I blame them really, nobody jumps out as a lock to be on the ballot from 1980. Bryan Adams? Chris Cross? The Specials? Iron Maiden? OMD? The English Beat? Duran Duran? Def Leppard? Anyway, not a stellar class for sure. **Black Sabbath** is now on their 8th bid, **Skynard** , 7th bid, **The Stooges** , 5th bid - That’s some bullshit! Rush, Van Halen, Yes, Genesis, ELO, and Heart are not on the ballot, again, and that’s some bullshit, too! If I had full control over this, my seven nominees (the max allowed) for the Class of 2006 would be: \*- Black Sabbath - Lynard Skynard - The Stooges - Rush - Genesis - Van Halen - Mellencamp\* ---
