John Bongiovi, better known as… you know, has been married for 36 years and they were high school sweethearts.
Tony Banks has been married to his wife since 1972. In fact, tomorrow (July 29th) is their 53rd anniversary.
John “Johnny Rotten’” Lydon was married to his wife for 44 years

They met before he became famous with the Sex Pistols which makes it rarer.
For many years he cared for her as she got worse with dementia, by all accounts pretty much dedicating his life to that. Which means he gets a little bit of a pass from me for all the alt-right “antiwoke” bs he’s been spewing of late
And now Father-in-law to Millie Bobby Brown, of Stranger Things Fame.
Guitarist Steve Howe, of Yes and Asia, has been married to Janet Osborne since 1975; it looks like they celebrated their 50th anniversary this past January. Howe’s Yes bandmate, drummer Alan White, married Gigi White in 1982, and they remained married until his death in 2022.
Not sure if he really counts, but singer Tom Jones married his wife Linda Trenchard in 1957 when they were 16, and they stayed married until her death in 2016. He was definitely not faithful, though.
You have to wonder if Heather Mills and Paul McCartney waited to divorce until he was 64…
perhaps…
Paul and Linda McCartney were married almost 30 years, presumably happily, until her untimely death from cancer at age 56.
Paul and his current wife have been a couple since 2007 and married since 2011.
And I’m quite sure they still would be married if she was alive. (Linda and Paul)
When the news of their split became public, I remember thinking, “Well, we now know the answer: No.”
Not rock but Dolly Parton was married to Carl Dean from 1966 until his death this year.
Yeah, Dolly really isn’t rock, but most rock fans would count her as a honorable rocker.
She’s in the R&R HOF.
FWIW.
And IIRC, nobody was more confused about that than herself.
Do they both need to be rock stars or just very famous?
If no, nothing beats Lisa Marie Presley and the King of Pepsi, Michael Jackson
Kurt Kobain and Courntey Love?
My only problem is I would not heard of one of them, at least. Who is Yoko Ono?
Would Linda Eastman have been known as more than a photographer had she not played in Wings?
Bowie and Iman?
Given that the OP asked about long-lived marriages by rock stars, neither would really count for purposes of the OP’s question.
Presley and Jackson were married for two years, as were Cobain and Love (up until Cobain’s death).
Definitely; they were married for 34 years, until his death.
Yeah, I don’t think extramarital sex counts as “infidelity” if there’s some kind of mutual consensus about it, whether it’s an explicitly open marriage, some kind of “don’t ask don’t tell” arrangement, or just an agreement to “not put restrictions” under some circumstances.
If married couples are okay with one or both of them having sex with other people in certain contexts, then nobody is being “unfaithful” to any marital commitment if said extramarital sex occurs.
We already had a few examples, and another one who married his high school sweetheart is Robert Smith, frontman of the Cure. They have been married since 1988, but have been a couple for much longer.
John Deacon (of Queen) has been married for over fifty years.
Marc Bell aka drummer Marky Ramone has been married to his wife Marion since 1984 and they had been dating since 1974, pre-Ramones. As a couple they’ve passed the half century mark.
