For a quick little compilation. Am I missing any obvious ones that really belong on the list? I want songs that are either about “rock and roll” (or rock music if from the era when they dropped the “'n roll”) or use “rock” often enough to sound as if they fit right in with those that are. * * * Stray Cats - Rock this Town Joan Jett - I Love Rock ‘n Roll Queen - We Will Rock You Neil Young - Rockin’ in the Free World Billy Joel - Still Rock 'n Roll to Me Huey Lewis - Heart of Rock 'n Roll Bob Seger - Old Time Rock 'n Roll Neil Young - My My, Hey Hey (Rock 'n Roll is Here to Stay) Led Zep - Rock And Roll (Been a long long long long time) David Essex - Rock On Bloodrock - You Gotta Roll Jethro Tull Too Old To Rock 'n Roll (Too Young to Die) Hendrix - Rock Me Baby Andy Kim - Rock Me Gently DrHook - Cover of the Rolling Stone (We’re big rock singers…) Def Leppard - Rock Brigade Boston - Rock & Roll Band Four Counts - Rock 'n Roll is Good for the Soul Byrds - So You Wanna Be a Rock 'n Roll Star Chuck Berry - Rock and Roll music (if you wanna dance with me) Dobie Gray - Drift Away (Give me the beat, boys…) Lou Reed - Rock’nRoll ---

**Bugnorton** I’m not a Grand Funk expert but I think the song you are thinking of is “We’re an American Band” More related to the topic would be another Grand Funk Railroad song “(Tell Everybody You Know), You’ve Got The Rock and Roll Soul”. ---

**Wolf\_Miester** yes, you are correct, thank you. I have tried to purge the memory of most of GFR from my brain and am obviosly being succesful only when I _want_ to recall the info. I thought of another one last night (I really need a life): **Little Feat - Rock and Roll Doctor**. I think in general the lyrics are at least about the R&R sterotypical life in the 70’s. I actually checked the CD and it is on an excellent disk called **Feats Don’t Fail Me Now**. ---
