If he’s a fan of any or all of the above, this is really enjoyable.

> Monterey Pop is a 1968 American concert film by D. A. Pennebaker that documents the Monterey International Pop Festival of 1967. Among Pennebaker's several camera operators were fellow documentarians Richard Leacock and Albert Maysles. The painter Brice Marden has an "assistant camera" credit. I also really like Pink Floyd’s **The Wall** and **Pulse**. Just watched The Wall again yesterday 🙂

Led Zeppelin’s **The Song Remains the Same** is good too.

I’ll second this. Not only does it have great music, it is also a record of the Altamont incident, certainly a notable event in the history of rock & roll.

I got my sister [Concert for George](http://www.amazon.com/Concert-George-Andy-Fairweather-Low/dp/B0000CEB4V)a couple years ago. Fantastic show, Ringo & Paul, Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers etc. Michael Palin and the Pythons (and Tom Hanks!) even show up and do a great rendition of The Lumberjack Song in full Mountie regalia!

If we’re going for concerts I’d suggest either Pink Floyd’s PULSE (which I’d dare say I’ve watched probably 300 times on VHS) or The Wall Live In Berlin. They spend the first half of the concert building a giant brick wall and then most of the band plays from behind the wall. It’s also full of guest singers including Cyndi Lauper, Joni Mitchell, Thomas Dolby, Bryan Adams, Tim Curry and Albert Finney just off the top of my head.
If he’s a Pink Floyd fan (Roger or David) either of these should be extremely well received.

I’ve been a Netflix subscriber for a long time but just signed up for the streaming. Moog is on the instant play so I’ll watch that one of these nights. Last night I watched Classic Albums: Queen: Making of a Night at the Opera which I enjoyed a lot but my brother-in-law wouldn’t be interested in. I watched the Elvis Costellow interview with Elton John tonight and intend to watch the rest of the Elvis Costello stuf over time.
