I don’t think there are going to be any real losers here. All the singers are getting exposure that most of us frustrated musicians only dream of. Not that I’d want to do something as insipid as this show, but still. My extremely longshot prediction: INXS declines to pick someone, saying none of them are suitable. Possible? ---

I doubt they would pick no one. They said on the show that next week, the band will be whole again, and that next week, one of you will be the next member of OB. What would be funny is if they decided to go back and pick someone they dropped earlier. “Congratulations, Daphna, you are the new lead singer of OB:INXS.” ---

I would wager that after the first nights show the band had already decided on a handful of people they wanted and the rest were already written off by that point. I’d also wager that half way through the season they already knew who they wanted as the winner. Unfortunately they had to drag it out over an entire season and slowly eliminate people week after week making dramatic “difficult” decisions. Even with the home audience voting they still have ultimate say on who stayed and went. ---

Dear god, if they play “Pretty Vegas” or “Trees” anymore on that show I’m going to puncture my own ear drums to get it to stop. They remind me of the Family Guy episode where Meg gets a makeover, Peter and the guys try to play as a band for inmates at a prison, and the entire Griffin family becomes a pop sensation with Meg as lead singer. It’s that song, the “Buy me a rainbow” or whatever that reminds me of these songs. At least with the way that they seem to me to be overplayed even when I’ve only heard them three or four times per song. Enough already! ---

When they cut Suzie, I thought, “Oh, they’ve already decided on Marty or J.D.” I don’t believe they’ll pick the pixie. They’re keeping MiG around for the TV show, 'cos he’s gotten so many votes. ---

Mig - Shut your mouth. Really. Your ham-fisted attempts at humor and sucking up to the band just make me cringe. You suck nuts! I’m sad that Suzie went. I’m going to miss that incredulous, dopy, puppy-dog grin. And I was really starting to enjoy her singing in the last few weeks. Part of me wants Marty to win, he seems like such a nice chap (and he’s gullible enough to get suckered in by Brooke’s “funny” attempt at faking him out every. single. week). And I do like “Trees” as a song, even if it’s got a very childish kind of lyric to it. I see JD winning, even though he’s a colossal ass. Even back towards the beginning, they seemed to really have it hard for him. The boy seems to do no wrong, even when he fails miserably. But we’ll see. ---

As much as I was hoping that this song burst forth from Marty during the course of the show, I should have been more cynical and realized that he would merely plunder his back catalog when asked to come up with a song. I imagine all the performers did the same. ---

Mig is a trip to the barbershop away from being a Wiggle. Suzie was great. Can’t believe she got booted Marty: I thought he was a shoe-in at the beginning of the show, now I’m not so sure. I think his voice will fail him on the road. JD: I’m really coming around to him. I thought his Money was really good. The problem with him is all the hotel rooms that INXS is going to have to pay to have rebuilt if he becomes lead singer. ---

It would be funny if they asked him to dump the jacket as a test just to see if he had taken their advice to stand up for himself. NAVARRO: Dude, lose the jacket, MiG. MiG: (Removes jacket and throws it) INXS: (thinks to themselves) I can’t believe he actually tossed his jacket instead of telling Dave to shove it. This spineless pushover isn’t roit for oua band, INXS. ---
