BOC’s Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma used to cross their guitars and slide the strings against each other…what a noise that made! Another BOC trademark was the “5 Guitars” bit where the drummer and keyboardist would come up front and they’d all wail away, trading off licks. ---

Les Claypool would usually play (and sing) while bouncing one leg up and down. For some reason, that move always has fascinated me. Amazing musician. ---

I don’t know if this counts, but Rick Nielsen ( **Cheap Trick** ) throws LOTS of personalized guitar picks to the audience. It’s not unusual for him to throw out 25 or more in a single show. I have eight of them myself, including two from the same show. ---

The title of this thread had me thinking of Blue Man Group’s “How to be a Rock Star” video. They did a good job of taking moves from various people and making them generic and hilarious.
