There’s a small chance that Mueller’s been watching Stone and waiting for him to relax his guard. Maybe Stone, once his guard was relaxed, would start creating new incriminating evidence at his house: drunk texts to Trump at 2 am, emails to Bannon about getting away with it, posting on Reddit under multiple socks. None of those would be real bright, but Stone doesn’t come across as a criminal mastermind. I dunno, figure it’s a small chance. ---

Though Roger has said that he’d never testify against Donald, I’m not sure he will hold out against Mueller, who would take pride in leaving no Stone unturned. ---

Obstruction, false statements, witness tampering: People like Stone and Trump are so reptilian that they will lie every chance they get if they think it will serve their immediate purposes. So you don’t catch them for what they did directly, you investigate, ask them questions in an official capacity and let them be their compulsively dishonest selves. Like Nixon, they’ll hang themselves with the cover up rope. They may stick together if they fear their mob boss enough but if you give them an out or threaten them with worse, they won’t have any sense of loyalty or greater purpose. For those who remember Kohlberg’s stage of moral development (which I certainly won’t defend in its entirety), it’s like they’re stuck at stage one of obedience/punishment and stage two of self-interest. Remember Carter Page? I like this line in the Wikipedia article: _In addition to serving as a frequent campaign advisor, Stone was previously a political lobbyist. In 1980, he co-founded the Washington, D.C.–based lobbying firm Black, Manafort, Stone with principals Paul Manafort and Charles R. Black Jr._ I guess it’s time to drain the swamp of these dirty tricksters. Lock them up! ---

I still don’t believe that he let his passport expire. No adult does that, especially someone who does travel. He’s not some 21 year old that backpacked around Europe once before he got an adult job.
