So part of being a man is being able to admit when you’re wrong and apologize for it. And I was wrong in my OP and its title. Not for the sentiment, because I still think “say what you mean, and mean what you say” is valid. But for my being a total hypocrite, and for singling out **roger thornhill** and directing it at him. I was saying “It doesn’t bug me when people think that homosexuality is a sin, as long as they recognize that I don’t think it’s a sin and I should have the same rights as everyone else.” And then when **roger thornhill** says in a thread that _the Bible_’s conclusion is that homosexuality is a sin, I jump to conclusions, and start a thread attacking him and jumping all over his case for things he didn’t say. I could’ve asked for clarification, or just made a better effort to understand what was being said, but I didn’t. So yes, it does bug me when people say that it’s wrong or it’s a sin, because I don’t see it that way. But I have to acknowledge that they can and will think whatever they wish, and I have no power over that. And I _know_ that being a hypocrite is a sin, as is attacking people without warrant. I apologize for that. ---

I apologize for that. Can’t see how you’re a hypocrite, **Sol** , and no real need to apologise: I think I understood where you were coming from and didn’t take it too personally. My applause was as much for the way you 'fessed up as the fact that you did it at all. It was, indeed, only right for you to do what you did, but it’s so fucking rare to see – let alone see done well – that I thought a “well said” would be under-doing it.
