I’m all for asking questions, but the sheer volume indicates a dearth human contact on the part of Mr. Deschain. Anyway, not really a pitting, just a comment. Maybe he’d care to explain why all the questions, and more importantly - why so suddenly ? 😕 ---

I noticed that myself, a bit odd if you ask me but to be fair he has asked some interesting and unique questions. Maybe he has so many questions in his mind that if he doesn’t find answers quick his eyes will melt and his brain will ooze out his nose? I’m just sayin’… ---

I couldn’t help but notice his name popping up several times over in GQ. Maybe he’s just going post-al after anteing up his five bucks. I wonder if his next question will be “What is this _Dark Tower_, and how do I get there?” ---

Unless the dude’s got something terminal, you’d think he could at least spread it out a bit! He seems to like to hear himself talk, his replies are usually just his further thoughts. And that goddamned “typing in the title” thing he does in replies drives me nuts! He’s made me revert to my regrettably snarky ways in GQ, that’s not a good thing. ---

Nyeh. It’s not the first time a newbie has gotten a wild and crazy with the posts and it won’t be the last. Let it go and see what happens in the long term. Hell, I once (NOT as a newbie) chalked up like 2000 posts in 6 months. That works out to what…almost 11 posts per day. At 167 in 11 days Roland isn’t that far above that. ---

Nearly all his posts have been in GQ, a forum that moves fast enough without his flood of questions. That’s what makes his posting pattern so noticeable. Sort of reminds me of **MagicalSilverKey.** Whatever happened to him, anyway? ---

Well, I count eight threads he’s started (mostly inane) cluttering up the front page of GQ right now. In the [registration agreement](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=247049) we have the rule: “Do not post the same or similar messages or threads to multiple forums; multiple threads on the same topic; or an excessive number of threads on any topic within a limited period of time.” I’m not sure whether he’s run afoul of that rule yet, but if he keeps this up, that’s a real possibility. ---
