_The Proposal_ (I was bored. Sorry.) As soon as the glow of his potentially owning 50 million acres of Alaskan wilderness (and small town) wears off, and the green card shows up, she’s gone. He throws a party to celebrate and moves on to another book publisher where he rises to the level of senior editor in a perfectly ordinary amount of time. ---

I’d like to think Seymour and Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors had legs - came from the same background, had the same modest expectations, etc. But Audrey had terrible esteem issues (as evidenced by her pathological abusive relationship prior to Seymour) and there were just too many corpses around by the end for things to end well. ---
