Find someone with a 4 place plane and fly along the shoreline of Chicago. You get a nice view of the city and the planes line up over the lake. Pretty at dusk. Also a lot of banner planes flying the shoreline so you can see those go by in the summer.
Also, a lot of airports have service gates for the approach lights. These would be directly inline with the runway so you could park right at the gate.
